Leith

Leith

Leith is originally from Aotearoa New Zealand and moved back to Mansfield at the start of 2021. Leith first starting regularly practicing yoga in 2006 and completed her first 200hr Vinyasa training in 2012 while living here in Mansfield through SomaChi, a Melbourne studio. This teaching's beautiful, grounded, and dynamic sequencing, as well as the accompanying Vippasana based meditation are foundations that have stayed with her.

In between then and now Leith has practiced yoga in the different places she has lived (Germany, Rwanda and Thailand) and many others travelled to along the way. This included practicing throughout the entirety of both pregnancies with her two young children and postnatally. Yoga's physicality, breathwork, spiritual teachings, long lineages of wisdom, invitations to sit with challenge and generous community have stood her in strong stead through many big changes and life's day-to-day.

In 2020, before returning to Mansfield, Leith completed a second 200hr Vinyasa teacher training through Awhi Yoga and Wellbeing in Te Whanganui-a-tara/Wellington, Aotearoa NZ. Two significant focuses of this course were the furthering of a deep sense of service as Yoga teachers and the exploration of affinities between the ancient teachings from which Yoga originated and those of Te Ao Māori (the Māori worldview). She looks forward to sharing all she has learnt, loves and is forever discovering more about in class.
